in vivo - Literally, "in life". A term describing processes that occur within a living cell or organism. ]]> The bag is cut and sewn from a fully recyclable polyethylene sheet. The growing medium that fills the bag is variable and we continue to experiment with new growing media. Currently, we sell the bag with a RockWool or Fytocell filling. RockWool is a well established hydroponic growing medium. It is extremely water retentive so that in tandem with the bag covering - very high water efficiency is achieved. Fytocell is a new technology that is primarily used for green roof projects.

Phytoslim was exhibited in the "Promisedesign" 2005 Exhibition in Milano, Berlin and Copenhagen, and in the "Second Gear" 2006 design exhibition in Tel-Aviv.

Light streams in through the windows illuminating the organic lines of a coffee table and splashing from it to the nearby chaise longue, leaving the book cabinet and study desk in partial shade thus accentuating their cool, sleek design. Now, as you hold this picture in your mind - add a large potted fern in the corner, an orchid on a bookshelf and a fish bowl on the study desk. For the sake of experiment, we may try to blink the living things on and off, onto and out of the scene - and then ponder the difference between the two.
